Alexandra Lanni, Laxfield Capital

Alex is Head of Transactions and focuses on deal origination, structuring and execution at Laxfield.

Alex completed her chartered accountancy qualification at PricewaterhouseCoopers, during which time she acted in both an audit and advisory capacity, mainly focusing on Life Assurance companies and listed investment funds.

In 2006 she joined Bank of Scotland analysing and documenting new European real estate lending and joint venture opportunities.  From 2008 onwards Alex restructured and recovered a number of legacy commercial real estate loan positions.  In addition to this, she was responsible for co-ordinating the harmonisation of systems and processes in the real estate division following Lloyds’ acquisition of HBoS, and established portfolio led workout solutions along with the restructuring and execution of hotel transactions.

Alex joined Laxfield in 2011, and has since closed >£600m of lending covering a wide variety of deals, in the residential, office, hotel and student accommodation sectors.  Her detailed knowledge of UK financing structures have been of particular value to new lenders seeking experienced local partners to help them transition to the UK market, and she has structured both fixed and floating rate loan structures.

In addition to Alex’s day to day role she assists on strategic projects and capital raising at Laxfield.
