Ellen Brunsberg, GE Capital

Ellen Brunsberg is President and CEO of GE Capital Real Estate Europe. She joined GE in 2011, and is responsible for managing a significant real estate portfolio and creating a debt platform in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Central & Eastern Europe. Based in London, England, she oversees an $11 billion portfolio. Ellen’s broad real estate commercial insights and deal structuring ability strongly contributes to the accelerated growth of GE’s real estate Debt business and the divestment of the Equity portfolios.

Prior to joining GE, Ellen spent 17 years with Morgan Stanley in New York and London, within the Fixed Income and Real Estate divisions. Moving to London in 1997, she created Morgan Stanley’s industry leading European
real estate lending for securitization franchise. Ellen headed the Securitised Products Group Europe where she led a team of more than 600 employees and managed more than $18 billion of securities. As group head, she managed all aspects of the
origination, trading and risk management for real estate, asset-backed securities and mortgage products. She earned a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Wharton Business School.
