Pascal Richard, Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking

Pascal is predominantly focused on supporting Lloyds’ PE and FI clients for their acquisition of mortgage loan portfolios and servicing platforms across Europe via the structuring and execution of £150m-£1bn+ secured warehouse / bridge facilities, as well as arranging asset risk transfer and regulatory capital management transactions (including managing loan portfolio disposals). Pascal also regularly advises clients on regulatory developments and technical securitisation challenges, including accounting, liquidity, capital and risk management.

He was previously at the FSA, in charge of supervising and analysing securitisation activities of regulated UK firms, with a particular focus on stress testing and the review of risk transfer / capital relief transactions, as well as an internal subject matter expert on CMBS and commercial real estate lending related subjects. He was also actively involved in securitisation and covered bonds policy developments at EU level, notably within the EBA.

Prior to this position, he held various senior roles in the European CRE lending and CMBS markets for over a decade first at Fitch Ratings then at Merrill Lynch, and was a founding partner in 2009 of Brookland Partners.

He currently sits on the regulatory committee of CREFC Europe, and is a regular speaker at securitisation and CRE industry conferences.
