A servicer committee was established in 2007 to enable loan servicers to come together and discuss topics relating to European real estate debt securitisations and other issues of common interest. It provided a forum for identifying issues affecting European CMBS and their potential impacts on the servicer community, and for articulating common responses to them.
In recent years, we have occasionally explored the appetite and scope for collaboration (even if simply in the sense of a forum for shared challenges and opportunities to be discussed) among loan servicing firms. At present, there is no active initiative in this area.
