Next week we have a meeting of our Irish Forum focused on alternative lenders, and various sub-streams of our Back Leverage Forum are quietly working away. This week, we and some of our members are participating in a gathering convened by the RICS to consider market responses to the UK’s implementation of “prudent” valuation under Basel 3 finalisation (the PRA is expected to announce details during Q2 2024).
We are also mulling the formation of up to three additional forums if there is interest:
- a revived Forum for COOs (contact David if you would be interested in this)
- a Construction Finance Forum (previously trailed months ago, but we are nearly ready to push the button – let Peter know if you want to make sure you’re involved)
- a Government Affairs Forum (drop Peter a line if this might be of interest to someone at your firm – the idea would be to share views on policy/advocacy initiatives and priorities, probably without getting deep into technical weeds)
