Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Committee invite you to join us for a tasting with Sarah Vachon, an olive oil sommelier.

Following a successful tasting organised by the Women's Committee of CREFCE, we are excited to be working with Sarah Vachon to deliver another extra virgin olive oil tasting event for our members. Sarah will also be sharing her expertise on the nutritional benefits of extra virgin olive oil and answer any of your questions.

Dive into the world of extra virgin olive oil and learn all about this ancient superfood. Together, we'll do a guided tasting with Sarah, a trained EVOO sommelier, to learn exactly how it's made, how to taste it properly, and what to look out for to ensure you're buying the right quality.

A good quality extra virgin olive oil has the following nutrient rich properties which we will explore together:

  • Fights Inflammation – Rich in polyphenols that help reduce chronic inflammation.
  • Lowers Insulin & Blood Glucose – Supports stable blood sugar levels and improves insulin sensitivity.
  • Supports Brain & Gut Health – Enhances cognitive function and promotes a healthy gut microbiome.
  • Decreases Cholesterol – Helps balance cholesterol levels, supporting heart health.

Sarah Vachon is an olive oil sommelier and founder of Citizens of Soil, soon-to-be the UK's favourite olive oil brand. Her background is in food & drink as well as sustainability.

She brings exceptional olive oils to the table.

She recently made the Telegraph + NatWest Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs To Watch for 2022.
